![]() ![]() This implementation would be on every page, but would make another HTTP request to an ASP page (for example, "get_alert_info.asp"). I'm not sure what you mean by switching from static to active - do you mean including ASP in the web page? If so, this would not be necessary - JS runs on the browser, ASP doesn't need to do anything for that. So if that is the case, maybe instead of being forced to turn it off, those who wanted it could simply turn it on via their profile. I'm not completely sure, but I'd imagine that some or most people wouldn't like it as some may find it annoying or simply have no use for it. ![]() Other then that, I don't see it being too difficult. I've no idea if that sort of thing would be difficult to implement, or how it would work. As at the moment on ACC you have to manually refresh the page, so the sounding alert wouldn't really work. The only thing I can see is that pages would have to automatically refresh, like Facebook and Twitter. I think it would be fairly simple to make. ![]() It would also be very useful for giveaways. I'm usually doing several different things at once and I would find it very useful. I too would like something similar to that, but of course only when you're on a different tab.
